Our being is silent but our existence is noisy. ~ Thomas Merton.

Gradually shift from noise to silence through weekly, small group sessions.

One of the best things you will do for your own self-care is a regular breathing and meditation practice. Even better when practiced in a supportive community and peaceful, relaxing environment.

During our Monday sessions, we will use breathing, mantra and mudra practices as a gateway to meditation. Regular breathing practice has been shown to lessen feelings of stress and anxiety, to increase creativity, clear communication and feelings of well-being. Regular breathing practices have been shown to change the brain. Like training the body through exercise changes our physical state, training the mind through breath changes our mental state.

Why Mondays?

Try heading into your week in a relaxed, intentional mind frame, rather than allowing whatever’s on your plate to direct your days. Instead of waiting until the weekend to unwind, we set the tone for the week so that weekend unwinding is no longer a necessity.

“There comes a time when you roll up your sleeves and put yourself at the top of your commitment list.” ~Marian Wright Edelman

My aim is to share the practices of breath, journaling, meditation, chant and mantra, to assist you in slowing down, releasing tension, rejuvenating your mind and body, creating a spaciousness to take into your week, and getting to know yourself better in a supportive, caring community.
